Megyn Kelly, the Sirius XM host, has revealed that she will be interviewing former President Donald Trump on her show “The Megyn Kelly Show” on September 14, marking their first discussion since the notable 2016 presidential election encounter.
This will be Kelly's first one-on-one with Trump in seven years. Her portfolio of interviews includes notable figures such as Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, and Democratic contender Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
"Next week, I’ll be interviewing former President Donald Trump. It will be my first interview with the former president in seven years and there’s so much to get to. I’m really looking forward to this,” expressed Kelly. “It’s gonna be great. It’s gonna be spicy and it’s gonna be tough, but it’s gonna be good and hopefully we’re both gonna enjoy it. I think you’re all gonna enjoy it too. We’re gonna have a lot of time for a variety of topics in person, sitting down with him in person.”
Kelly made her announcement for the awaited interview with Trump for the first time in seven years, scheduled for Thursday, September 14, on @MegynKellyShow on @SiriusXM ch. 111 #Triumph at NoonET, available on all platforms later.

The history between Trump and Kelly is laden with tension, stemming from the 2015 debate. In that debate, co-moderated by Kelly along with Bret Baier of Fox News and the then “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace, Kelly confronted Trump about his previous derogatory remarks about women.
During that debate, Kelly stated, “You’ve called women you don’t like ‘fat pigs,’ ‘dogs,’ ‘slobs’ and ‘disgusting animals.'”
Trump retorted, “Only Rosie O’Donnell.”
Kelly corrected him, “No, it wasn’t,” and continued, “Your Twitter account, for the record, it was well beyond Rosie O’Donnell. Your Twitter account has many disparaging comments about women’s looks. You once told a contestant on “Celebrity Apprentice” it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?”
Subsequent to this debate in January 2016, Trump expressed to Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly that he held “zero respect” for Kelly and felt that Fox News was biased against him.
