Krispy Kreme Honors Classic Christmas Movie With Holiday Treats

As the holiday season approaches, many American households embrace the festive spirit with "Elf," a popular movie. In celebration of the film's 20th anniversary, Krispy Kreme has unveiled a special treat.

Krispy Kreme is launching a series of limited-edition donuts inspired by "Elf." Starting November 24, patrons can enjoy these unique "Elf"-themed treats, including The Buddy Snow Globe donut, the Buddy Makes Breakfast donut, and the Christmas Lights donut.

These festive donuts will be available in specially designed "Elf"-themed dozen donut boxes. Among them, The Buddy Snow Globe donut stands out with its classic Krispy Kreme glazed donut base. It's adorned with sugar-cookie light blue icing, white sprinkles, powdered sugar snow, and a decorative chocolate "Elf" piece, adding to its holiday charm.

The Buddy Makes Breakfast donut, another delightful creation in this series, starts with the signature Krispy Kreme glazed donut. It's generously topped with cake batter spaghetti buttercream, embellished with milk chocolate candies, colorful sprinkles, and a finishing touch of maple drizzle.

Similarly, the Christmas Lights donut, inspired by the festive season, is also based on the classic Krispy Kreme glazed donut. This treat is dipped in luscious chocolate icing, artistically drizzled with green icing, and adorned with rainbow sprinkles and a special Christmas "Elf" piece, adding to its holiday appeal.

Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme's Global Chief Brand Officer, expressed in a statement that these specially designed donuts are a tribute to the unforgettable scenes from "Elf." He emphasized the joy and smiles associated with the character Buddy the Elf, a sentiment shared by Krispy Kreme. The company anticipates these "Elf"-themed donuts will bring smiles and holiday cheer to families and friends throughout the season.

For those unable to visit a Krispy Kreme location, there's good news. A 6-pack featuring the Buddy Snow Globe, Festive Lights, and Santa Belly donuts will be available at select grocery stores, freshly delivered daily.

Krispy Kreme, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, is also reviving its "Day of the Dozens" tradition. On December 12th (12/12), customers can purchase a dozen original glazed donuts for just $1 when they buy any dozen at the regular price.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of "Elf," which first delighted audiences in 2003, introducing the world to Buddy the Elf.
