Morgan Wallen Gets 'Bad News' From Doctors, Resulting in Cancelations

Morgan Wallen has had to cancel six weeks of his shows due to a recent setback. In a video posted on his Instagram account on Tuesday, Wallen revealed that his doctor gave him some "bad news."

Despite taking a ten-day break and performing three shows, he has once again injured his vocal cords. As per the medical advice, he has been diagnosed with vocal fold trauma and instructed to rest his voice for six weeks. Wallen has decided to follow the doctor's advice and take the necessary break.

Doctors have advised him to refrain from speaking altogether.

"We're working on rescheduling all the dates during this time frame," the country star explained.

"They told me that if I do this the right way, I'll get back to 100%." He was advised if he "keeps singing," he could "permanently damage" his voice.

"I hate it, but I love you guys," Wallen said to his fans. "And I appreciate all the support you always give me."

The recent development follows a previous incident where Wallen upset his fans by canceling a show just moments before he was due to perform, and after the opening act had already taken the stage. The scheduled performance was set to take place on April 23 at Ole Miss stadium. Wallen posted a statement on his Instagram account, explaining that he had lost his voice and was unable to sing.

"After last night's show I started losing my voice so I spent the day resting up, talking to my doctor and working through my vocal exercises trying to get better," Wallen explained. "I really thought I'd be able to take the stage and it kills me to deliver this so close to showtime, but my voice is shot and I am unable to sing."
