'Special Place in Hell': 'The View' Co-Host Blasts Caitlyn Jenner

The View co-host Ana Navarro sounded off on Caitlyn Jenner during Monday's broadcast. The former Olympic athlete recently stated she was having a problem changing her gender on her passport. Navarro responded by declaring there is a special place in hell for people like her.

"Caitlyn Jenner? Girl, cry me a river. Let me play my little violin for you," Navarro said. "Changing the marker on the passports is an executive order that he signed on day one, so if you think he didn't know what he was doing, if you think he wasn't fulfilling a campaign promise because, as you say, he absolutely exploited this issue in order to get people to the polls."

The liberal host did not hold back her criticism of the reality television star. "I think there's a special place in hell for people who only care about themselves and don't care about the effect on others," Navarro added.

Jenner previously revealed her passport issues during an episode of Tomi Lahren's podcast. She explained she was not able to change her gender to female on the official document. Jenner sent a letter to President Donald Trump asking for help but has not heard back.

Navarro continued her rant by quoting trans advocate Janetta Johnson from 2015. "Jenner is a rich, White b----. She can pay for everything she needs," Navarro quoted.

Navarro continued the quote to attack Jenner's legacy. "But I think she now needs to put some of that money back into the transgender community, as she has taken a lot," Navarro read aloud. "All these years, we've been abused and battered, yet she's used none of her power to help the community and bring about change."

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin also chimed in to criticize the administration. She called the executive order a stupid policy meant to embarrass people. "That is not an issue that in any way betters the lives of the American people," Griffin said.

President Trump signed the executive order regarding federal gender policies on his first day in office. The order mandates the federal government recognize only male and female sexes based on immutable biological characteristics. This policy requires these characteristics to be accurately reflected on official documents like passports.

The State Department is responsible for issuing all official passports. The agency is no longer providing passports with the alternative gender marker that was made available in 2021. The department is also no longer honoring requests to change gender markers between male and female.

Jenner still expressed strong support for Trump during the podcast despite the passport issue. "I haven't heard from him. He’s kind of busy right now," Jenner said.

Jenner noted that her gender marker is not a massive priority for the administration. "So, I get that, and I’m not blaming him whatsoever," Jenner continued. "I love the guy, and I love what he’s doing."

The White House did not immediately return a request for comment. Jenner's representation also did not immediately respond to inquiries regarding the situation. Other prominent figures have also run into issues with the new federal policy.

Actor Hunter Schafer revealed earlier this year that her new passport was issued with a male gender marker. Schafer posted a video online detailing how her passport was stolen while filming in Spain. She received an emergency document but later had to apply for a permanent replacement in Los Angeles.

Schafer stated her original passport identified her as female, but the replacement document marked her as male. She explained she wasn’t posting the video to create drama, fearmonger, or receive consolation. She shared the story because she thought it was worth noting the reality of the situation and that it is actually happening.
