MrBeast, aka Jimmy Donaldson, is known for making tons of money. He earns hundreds of millions annually from his YouTube channel and Feastables brand. Despite this, he claims he's not wealthy.
His YouTube channel has a staggering 239 million subscribers. Videos often hit over 100 million views.
"Each video does a couple million in ad revenue, a couple million in brand deals," Donaldson shared with Time Magazine. Brands pay up to $3 million for a video mention.
However, this money doesn't end up in his personal account. At 25, he doesn't manage his finances directly.
"I don’t have access to any of my bank accounts," he explained. His mother and a CFO control his finances.
The revenue is reinvested into his brand and content. Donaldson believes in pouring everything back into his work, aiming for success.
His investments include elaborate stunts, like buying a grocery store for a challenge. Despite the extensive footage shot, only a fraction makes it to the final cut.
Donaldson enjoys certain luxuries, like a personal chef and a trainer. He owns a 3,000 square-foot home bought for $320,000 in 2018.
He remains focused on growing his empire and acknowledges the potential for future wealth.
"I’m not naïve; maybe one day," he said about being rich. "But right now, whatever we make, we reinvest."
