'60 Minutes' Broadcast Airs Two Different Harris Answers to the Same Question

CBS aired two different answers from Vice President Kamala Harris in its "60 Minutes" interview. The initial clip aired on "Face the Nation" Sunday. But when the full interview aired on Monday night, her response was noticeably different.

On Sunday, Harris gave a lengthy, confusing answer to a question about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s relationship with the U.S. This version was mocked by conservatives. The lengthy answer didn’t make it to the primetime special. Instead, a more concise response was shown.

In the "Face the Nation" version, Harris said, "the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements... including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region."

But when aired on "60 Minutes," her answer changed. This time, she stated, "We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end."

CBS hasn’t explained why they aired two different versions. However, both clips are available on YouTube. CBS News did not comment on the matter.

The Trump campaign reacted quickly, demanding the full, unedited interview.

"On Sunday, 60 Minutes teased Kamala's... worst word salads to date," Trump campaign press secretary Karoline Leavitt said. She added that the Monday version was deceptively edited to make Harris look better, asking, "What else did they choose not to air?"

The campaign called for CBS to release the full transcript, suggesting they might be hiding something.
