Viral TikTok Shows 'Unethical' Hack to Deal With Reclined Seat Passengers

As a result of a viral "unethical life hack" on TikTok, airplane passengers who enjoy reclining their seats may unexpectedly experience a draft.

@theLKshow, an unidentified TikTok user who appears to be based in London as per their Etsy account, is suggesting that individuals redirect their overhead fans towards reclining seats in order to prompt the passengers to reposition them, according to their TikTok video.

The TikToker employed a ceiling-facing six-second clip to explain their tactic, which they conveyed in white on-screen text.

"Unethical life hack: When you are on a flight and the person in front of you reclines their seat all the way and leave you no room. Turn on the air con above you on full blast and point it at the top of their head," theLKshow wrote.

The video has amassed over two million views and over 100,000 likes.

@thelkshow The plane ride is so long when you get one of these people in front of you ? #plane #reclinetheseat #annoyingpassengers ♬ Blicky - Fresh X Reckless

"The plane ride is so long when you get one of these people in front of you," theLKshow captioned the video along with the hasthags #plane, #reclinetheseat and #annoyingpassengers.

Of course, this sparked the classic debate of whether or not planes should have reclining seats.

"There are 2 kinds of people in this world: those who recline and don’t care, and those who will never recline," said one TikTok user.

"Recliner seats are there to recline," another user fired back.

What do you think? Is reclining your airplane seat using your resources or being an inconsiderate jerk?
