Vanna White Admits She Was 'Scared' of Wheel of Fortune Change

Ryan Seacrest is about to make his "Wheel of Fortune" debut, and Vanna White admits she was nervous.

White, who worked with Pat Sajak for over 40 years, wasn’t sure what to expect.

"I mean, when I’m used to one person for so long, I was very scared," White said. "But he’s doing a great job."

She shared on "CBS Sunday Morning" that she’s known Seacrest for 20 years. Recently, they’ve traveled together for the show and gotten to know each other better.

Rumors in June suggested White might quit due to awkwardness with Seacrest. But she dispelled that with an Instagram post in July.

"Friends on and off camera," White wrote, sharing a photo of them dining together.

Seacrest, on "CBS Sunday Morning," said he was thrilled to join such a beloved show.

"It’s more than a TV show," he said. "When I found out this was an opportunity, it was an easy yes."

The 49-year-old admitted there was a learning curve. He practiced with contestants to get it right.

Last year, Sajak announced his retirement after 41 seasons. Soon after, Seacrest was named his successor.

In July, Seacrest shared a video of his first day on the "Wheel of Fortune" set.

"My heart's pounding. I'm so excited," he said. He revealed he couldn’t sleep the night before.

Seacrest also hosts "American Idol." He said he’s reached "fully occupied me," focusing on making "Wheel of Fortune" a success.

"Wheel of Fortune" premieres with Seacrest on Sept. 9.
