Tiger Woods Fools Millions With Cruel April Fool's Day Prank

Tiger Woods used April Fools’ Day to troll fans upset about missing him at the Masters.

Earlier this month, he said he'd had "minimally-invasive" surgery for a ruptured Achilles.
"As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured," he said. "I am back home now and plan to focus on my recovery and rehab, thank you for all the support."

The 49-year-old didn’t give a return date. Fans figured he’d be out for a while.

Then Tuesday came. And Woods dropped a bomb.

"I can’t believe I am saying this, but a few weeks after rupturing my left Achilles, the sleeping in a hyperbaric chamber plus the explosive lifts my doctors and trainers have me ready to play the Masters next week! Can’t wait! See y’all on the course," he posted on X.

Cue the cheers—until they read the fine print.

"P.S. April Fools my Achilles is still a mess :)"

Social media took it surprisingly well. Some were crushed—but still laughed.

"I’m glad you still have a sense of humor… even though you’ve crushed many dreams this morning," one fan replied.

"Walked right into this one. Nice shot Tiger," said another.

Woods has battled through injury after injury. His last major win came at the 2019 Masters.

He’s had six back surgeries, past Achilles issues, and once pulled out of The Players due to the same tendon. That sidelined him for two months.

No word yet on when he’ll return this time.
