'The View' Host Blasts Melania's Peace Letter in Instagram Video

Ana Navarro blasted first lady Melania Trump’s peace letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling it “so hypocritical you almost can’t believe it.” The fiery comments came Tuesday on The View, after Navarro posted an Instagram video reacting to the letter.

The letter, hand-delivered during President Donald Trump’s summit with Putin in Alaska, urged the Russian leader to end the war in Ukraine. Melania Trump framed her appeal around the suffering of children caught in the conflict.

“Mr. Putin, you can singlehandedly restore their melodic laughter,” the first lady wrote. “In protecting the innocence of these children, you will do more than serve Russia alone—you serve humanity itself.”

Navarro said the message rang hollow, pointing to what she sees as hypocrisy in the Trump administration’s policies. “Think about what her husband, what Donald Trump, is doing to the children of immigrants in America, and to U.S. citizen children of immigrants,” she said.

She painted a grim picture. “How many of those children are living with the fear of their parents being dragged through the streets of America? Their car windows smashed in? Their parents beaten by masked men and disappeared?” Navarro asked. She also accused the administration of cutting off aid that once helped feed starving children abroad.

Navarro mocked the letter as “performative” but conceded it was at least a “good thing” for Ukrainian children. Still, she argued the first lady should look closer to home. “Maybe she should turn around and say the exact same thing to her husband,” Navarro said. “Because there are children in America crying, suffering, going to bed in fear.”

Hours later, Navarro doubled down with another Instagram post. This time, she took a jab at Melania Trump’s marriage. “So Melania, it’s good you write a letter to Putin. Now, how about you write one to the man you sleep with… oh, wait,” Navarro wrote.

The first lady has long been a target on The View. In October, co-host Sunny Hostin claimed Melania Trump “hates” her husband and even suggested she “wants to take him out.” Hostin went on, “She destroyed the Rose Garden. Who hates Christmas? Melania Trump hates Christmas. She doesn’t want anything to do with him. She can’t tolerate him.”
