'The View' Co-Host Reveals What Would Get Her to Wear a MAGA Hat

The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin made a surprising proposal. She said she’d wear a MAGA hat for an entire episode if Donald Trump secures the release of hostages from Hamas.

The discussion began while the co-hosts were talking about Trump attending the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral. The iconic cathedral hosted its first Mass after a devastating fire in 2019. The event drew global figures like Trump, Jill Biden, and Prince William.

Photos of Trump chatting with the first lady went viral. Trump even used one photo to promote his new fragrance line on Truth Social. “Here are my new Trump Perfumes & Colognes! I call them Fight, Fight, Fight, because they represent us WINNING,” he wrote.

The co-hosts were split over Trump’s message and the viral images. Sara Hines cautioned viewers not to read too much into the photos. “There are two pictures I pulled... it’s not quite as cordial looking. There might be more going on,” she said.

Griffin, however, saw the moment as symbolic. “It’s important America’s allies and adversaries see this,” she argued. “Despite my concerns about Trump, America is moving forward.”

She then doubled down, suggesting a bold gesture. “If Trump gets the Israeli hostages out, I’ll wear a MAGA hat on the show and say, ‘Thank you,’” Griffin stated.

Her comment sparked immediate backlash. “Please don’t do that,” a co-host replied. Griffin joked, “She’ll knock it off my head,” before explaining, “You have to cheer for wins and call out wrongdoing.”

Griffin, a former Trump administration staffer, has often criticized him on The View. Despite her history, she’s not shy about acknowledging successes when she sees them.
