San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has always been very outspoken when it comes to his very liberal stance on social justice issues. In this instance, he tore into people who he said still do not understand the Black Lives Matter movement.
During a video call with reporters, Popovich was asked how the BLM movement means to him.
“It’s no different for me than it is to anybody else who cares about justice and who can be empathetic to the fact that justice has been denied to a group of people for far too long. And enough is enough,” Popovich said, per the Dallas Morning-News. “Everybody’s tired of it, especially the group that has been degraded and savaged for so long. People who don’t understand Black Lives Matter or are offended by it are just ignorant.”

Popovich sits silently when it comes to China, however. Despite China still having slave labor in 2020, the NBA bends the knee to China.
Attacking China isn't in line with the NBA "woke" narrative. So they keep their mouths shut and keep cashing the check. The NBA is very woke as long as it fits their narrative and doesn't hurt their revenue.
Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey was ripped for supporting democracy protests in Hong Kong. Superstar LeBron James made his voice heard by claiming Morey was "misinformed" on the issue.

This is insane. Morey was fully aware of the situation in China. He just didn't partake in the NBA custom of bending the knee to China. Therefore, he was blasted by his peers.
Hypocrisy at its finest.
