Democrat Congressman and pastor Emanuel Cleaver ended his opening prayer for the 117th Congress on Sunday with the phrase, “Amen and Awomen.”
Cleaver first addressed “The God known by many names and faith,” and then concluded, “Amen and Awomen,” which appeared to be an attempt at gender equality.
However, that alone shows just how ignorant he is considering the word “amen” is actually derived from the Greek and Hebrew languages which means “truly” or “it is so.” Christians and Jews use it in prayer, and it has absolutely nothing to do with gender.
How dumb are these people?

Twitter immediately exploded on Cleaver when he posted the video of his prayer. Even Larry the Cable guy blasted the absurdity. He tweeted, “Congress today did a prayer and finished it with “amen” AND “a woman” to be gender equal. Are they really that dumb. Amen is Latin/Hebrew for “Truly” or “So be it”? It has nothing to do with Gender. These people are complete idiots. Ex: “God is great.” “Amen” (truly) duh!”

On Friday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was criticized for getting rid of terms such as “father, mother, son, and daughter” in the 117th Congress.
According to Rule XXIII, terms like “father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, first cousin, nephew, niece, husband, wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, stepsister, half brother, half sister, grandson, or granddaughter” will be replaced with terms like “parent, child, sibling, parent’s sibling, first cousin, sibling’s child, spouse, parent-in-law, child-in-law, sibling-in-law, stepparent, stepchild, stepsibling, half-sibling, or grandchild.”
