Photo of 'Super Mom' White House Press Secretary Goes Viral

A behind-the-scenes photo of White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt went viral this week, showing her multitasking just days before Mother’s Day.

In the image, Leavitt is seen feeding her nine-month-old son, Nicholas Robert “Niko” Riccio, while typing at her desk — balancing motherhood and one of the nation’s most high-profile communications roles. The photo, taken by Margo Martin, special assistant to the president, was shared on X and quickly garnered over 9 million views.

“Walked in to @PressSec typing with one hand, and feeding her son with the other. Super Mom!” Martin wrote in her caption, praising Leavitt’s dedication both to her job and her young family.

Leavitt, 27, is the youngest person to ever serve as White House press secretary. She is married to 59-year-old real estate developer Nicholas Riccio. The two were married in January, just before President Donald Trump’s second inauguration, after getting engaged the previous December.

Their son Niko was born on July 10, 2024. Leavitt has spoken candidly about her work-life balance, often sharing glimpses of her daily routine with her followers. In February, she posted a photo of her baby on Instagram with the caption: “Work at white house, baby bedtime routine, & then @seanhannity at 9pm.”

Leavitt’s journey to the podium began with an internship during Trump’s first term. She later joined the staff as an assistant press secretary under Kayleigh McEnany, now a co-host on Fox News.

The viral image has drawn widespread praise from supporters who view Leavitt as a symbol of modern working motherhood.
