A comedian's joke about Jeffrey Epstein's client list has drawn criticism from Green Bay Packers offensive lineman David Bakhtiari.
In a recent podcast interview, Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, expressed his desire to learn the identities of the clients of the deceased and infamous sex offender.
“Did you hear about the Epstein client list about to be released?” Rodgers said. “There’s some files that have some names on them that might be getting released pretty soon.”
According to the New York Post, Rodgers, who is a frequent guest on sports analyst Pat McAfee's podcast, "The Pat McAfee Show," made the remarks during a recent episode. The two have become friends as a result of Rodgers' longstanding weekly segment on the show.
Although Rodgers expressed his curiosity about the individuals on the list, not everyone was pleased with his comments. Late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel, for instance, responded to Rodgers' remarks with a crude joke during a segment on his show last week.
In his response to Rodgers' comments, Kimmel resorted to name-calling, labeling him the "whack-Packer" and a "tin foil hatter." Kimmel went on to make a distasteful quip about Rodgers potentially suffering from brain damage, suggesting that he needed to undergo concussion protocol again.
Kimmel's attempt to mock Rodgers, however, did not go as planned when his teammate, the prominent Packers tackle David Bakhtiari, spoke out in support of him and criticized Kimmel for his insensitive remark.
Bakhtiari fired back at Kimmel's segment on Twitter, saying, “Tell me you’re on the Jeffrey Epstein client list, without telling me you’re on the Jeffrey Epstein client list….”

Essentially, Bakhtiari insinuated that Kimmel was ridiculing Rodgers' desire to make the client list public because Kimmel had something to conceal about his own association with Epstein.
Numerous prominent figures, including former President Bill Clinton, billionaire and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, and Prince Andrew of Britain, have faced scrutiny and controversy over their connections to Epstein.
The list should be made public as the public deserves to know.
