According to a recent report, Commander, President Biden's almost two and a half-year-old German shepherd — who succeeded the former first dog, Major, due to his aggressive conduct — has bitten seven individuals over a span of four months.
Per a report from the New York Post, internal communications from the Secret Service revealed a significant incident involving Commander, President Biden's dog. On November 3, 2022, a Secret Service officer was referred to the hospital for treatment by the White House physician's office after the dog bit them on the thigh and arm.

In addition, Judicial Watch, a conservative legal group, obtained emails via the Freedom of Information Act showing that weeks later, Commander bit another Secret Service member on the hand and arm, breaking their skin. This incident occurred after President Biden unleashed the dog outside the White House following a family movie night. In January, at Biden's Wilmington, Delaware residence, Commander bit and "latched on" to a security technician's back.
"These shocking records raise fundamental questions about President Biden and the Secret Service," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton, according to the report. "This is a special sort of craziness and corruption where a president would allow his dog to repeatedly attack and bite Secret Service and White House personnel. And rather than protect its agents, the Secret Service tried to illegally hide documents about the abuse of its agents and officers by the Biden family."
In October 2022, a Secret Service officer sent an email to colleagues cautioning that President Biden's dog, Commander, could potentially bite an officer due to his increasingly aggressive behavior, as mentioned in the correspondence dated October 26th.
On November 3, 2022, the most severe incident involving Commander took place when a Secret Service officer was sitting at the bottom of a staircase in the White House. An internal agency email narrated that the dog "came down the stairs and walked toward" the officer before biting him on the tricep area of his arm. Upon standing, the officer was bitten again by Commander, this time on the quadriceps muscle of his leg.
An officer reported that the individual attacked by Commander experienced "a considerable amount of pain" and resorted to using a steel cart as a barrier to protect himself from the dog's assault.
