President Biden and Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a joint press conference Wednesday and conservatives responded by saying it's time for the United States to stop shipping money to Ukraine.
Biden used the press conference to reaffirm the United States' commitment to supporting Ukraine. Many conservatives are pointing out that this money would be better used at home.
Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., a conservative Republican who has his eye on becoming House Speaker, tweeted, "No more blank checks to Ukraine" in the time leading up to the press conference.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) made several strong points about the Ukraine situation, tweeting, "Why is Ukraine funding buried in the bill that averts a shutdown of our own government? Why was previous Ukraine funding linked to hurricane disaster relief for Florida? Why is Zelensky speaking to Congress tonight? Because Americans are growing very weary of funding this war."

Zelenskyy made a direct appeal to Republicans who are hesitant to continue sending funds to Ukraine. He argued that in order to maintain global security, Ukraine's independence must be retained.
