NFL Team Responds to Rumors Franchise Quarterback Was On 'White Dudes for Harris' Call

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow wasn't on a Zoom call supporting Vice President Kamala Harris. Rumors on social media falsely claimed he and other NFL quarterbacks attended Monday night.

The Bengals released a statement to clear things up. Harris supporters, after Biden dropped out, shared false info that Burrow endorsed Harris' campaign.

The call, "White Dudes for Harris," did feature stars but not Burrow. New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones and Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff were also rumored to be on the call, but that was false too.

The social media claims went viral, getting millions of views. Sports websites even picked them up as news.

An account named "Kamala’s Wins" posted about Burrow, getting over 3.5 million views. This account has spread misinformation before.

Burrow hasn't endorsed any presidential candidate. However, he was seen with former President Trump and 49ers star Nick Bosa at UFC 299 in March.

"White Dudes for Harris," a 3.5-hour call, had actors like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mark Hamill, Josh Gad, and Jeff Bridges showing support for Harris.

Organizers said the call had over 180,000 participants and raised almost $4 million for Harris.

Burrow recently made news for his new look at Bengals training camp. He showed up with a buzz cut and bleached blonde hair.

"I got bored," he told reporters about his new hairstyle. Burrow is aiming for a comeback after a wrist injury ended his 2023 season early, causing the Bengals to miss the playoffs.
