Missouri Governor Mike Parson is set to pardon a St. Louis couple if they are charged with brandishing weapons at a group of protestors outside their home.
Parson was a guest on The Marc Cox Morning Show on 97.1 FM in St. Louis. He was asked about an investigation Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner launched into Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the couple who went viral for protecting their home with guns.
Missourians have the right to stand their ground and protect their property, this shouldn't be a political issue. pic.twitter.com/Wyp8gjHRuS

In the police report, the McCloskeys said they were threatened by the protestors and afraid they were set to destroy their property. Gardner said she is going to take a look at the events but "we will not tolerate the use of force against those exercising their First Amendment rights."
Parson stands with the McCloskeys. He said they "did what they legally should do."
"A mob does not have the right to charge your property. They had every right to protect themselves," Parson said.
He was asked if he would file a pardon if the two were charged. He said, "I think that’s exactly what would happen."
"Right now, that’s what I feel," he said. "You don’t know until you hear all the facts. But right now, if this is all about going after them for doing a lawful act, then yeah, if that’s scenario ever happened, I don’t think they’re going to spend any time in jail."
It's good to see the Missouri Governor standing up for the Second Amendment.
