On Tuesday, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador provided evidence supporting the argument made by some Democrats that Latin American immigrants fill labor shortages in jobs that U.S. citizens do not want to do. He did so by pointing out the truth about President Joe Biden's failure to maintain border security, which some argue is not being adequately covered by the liberal media.
During a joint meeting of leaders from the three North American countries, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) expressed gratitude to President Joe Biden for not constructing any barrier along the southern border, in contrast to previous U.S. presidents.
At a meeting in Mexico City with President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) said "President Biden, you are the first president of the United States in a very long time that has not built not even one meter of wall. And we thank you for that."

AMLO's statement seems to be accurate, as the Biden administration has not constructed any new barrier along the southern border. While some gaps in the existing barrier have been filled since 2021, President Biden has made it clear from the beginning of his term that he does not believe the construction of a wall is an effective solution for addressing the issue of illegal immigration.
On January 20, 2021, President Joe Biden stated in an executive order "Like every nation, the United States has a right and a duty to secure its borders and protect its people against threats. But building a massive wall that spans the entire southern border is not a serious policy solution. It is a waste of money that diverts attention from genuine threats to our homeland security."
The repeal of key immigration policies from the previous administration by President Joe Biden has resulted in a significant increase in migrants crossing the southern border illegally.
Interestingly, President Joe Biden, who has faced criticism from conservatives for his handling of the southern border issue, recently visited the southern border for a photo opportunity.
“Our problems at the border didn’t arise overnight,” Biden claimed. “And they won’t be solved overnight. But, we can come together to fix this broken system. We can secure the border and fix the immigration process to be orderly, fair, safe, and humane.”
It could be argued that the current illegal immigration crisis at the southern border has been significantly exacerbated since President Joe Biden took office, specifically through the revocation of certain policies from the previous administration.

The recently proposed solution from the Biden administration to address the issue of illegal immigration at the southern border is to develop a smartphone app to assist migrants in filing asylum claims. This suggests that the administration's approach to the problem is focused more on promoting an orderly process rather than addressing issues of national security and sovereignty.
