NBA superstar LeBron James made a $100,000 donation to the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition on Friday through his “More Than A Vote” organization. The organization consists of black athletes and artists and is geared toward combatting "systemic, racist voter suppression."
The donation will go toward Floridians who are struggling to pay outstanding fees related to felony convictions which are keeping them from being able to register to vote.
James took to Twitter to promote the cause as well.

According to the FRRC site, they are committed to “ending the disenfranchisement and discrimination against people with convictions.”
“The money is expected to help felons pay court-ordered financial obligations that keep them from completing all the terms of their sentences after they are released from prison,” The Tampa Bay Times reported. “More than 65 percent of Florida voters in 2018 approved a constitutional amendment to restore the voting rights of felons who have completed their sentences.”
With a net worth of $450 million, it's a drop in the bucket for LeBron. The former resident of Florida is becoming increasingly active with left-wing political issues.
