Photos of this unexpected twist, seemingly taken unbeknownst to him, led to a social media frenzy. Many online users called him out, accusing him of hypocrisy: denouncing a brand and then openly enjoying it not long afterward.
TMZ released footage of Kid Rock at Nashville's Skydeck venue during a performance by Colt Ford. Close-up shots reveal him in conversation with friends, a blue can - ostensibly a Bud Light - in his hand.

Kid Rock's drink of choice that night hints at a possible change in sentiment towards the beer brand. Just in April, he had gone viral for a video where he fired rounds into multiple cases of Bud Light using what looked like an MP-5 submachine gun.
This dramatic gesture was Rock's way of protesting Bud Light's collaboration with transgender influencer, Dylan Mulvaney. In no uncertain terms, he had said, "f--- Bud Light."
The artist's very public denouncement of Bud Light and its parent company, Anheuser-Busch, marked the beginning of significant public backlash. This negative attention has evidently affected Bud Light's sales.
Witnessing the prominent conservative figure enjoying the same beer he had once renounced led to a wave of social media reactions. Most found the situation ironic, poking fun at the seeming inconsistency in his stance.
Adding to the commentary, Democratic strategist Sawyer Hackett humorously noted on platform X, "LOL. Just last night, Kid Rock was spotted enjoying a Bud Light at a concert, despite leading a charge against the brand. Remember when he destroyed a case of the same beer using an AR-15?"
