John Fetterman Rebukes Fellow Democrats Over Criticism Of Maduro Capture

Senator John Fetterman (D-Pa.) broke ranks with his party on Monday. He praised President Donald Trump’s "surgical" military mission to capture Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

Appearing on Fox & Friends, Fetterman expressed frustration with Democrats who are lashing out at the administration. He noted that both parties have long called for Maduro’s removal from power.

“I don’t know why we can’t just acknowledge it’s been a good thing what’s happened. I’ve seen the speeches from whether it’s Leader Schumer or kinds of past tweets from President Biden,” Fetterman said.

The Pennsylvania Senator highlighted the hypocrisy of the Democratic response. He reminded viewers that “we all wanted this man gone and now he is gone.”

Fetterman specifically saluted the U.S. military for an operation he described as "really surgical and precise and very efficient." He questioned why his colleagues refuse to celebrate such a clear victory.

The mission, codenamed Operation Absolute Resolve, successfully removed the dictator from his palace in Caracas. Maduro is currently in New York facing major narco-terrorism and drug trafficking charges.

Democratic leaders like Chuck Schumer have labeled the move "reckless" due to a lack of congressional authorization. Fetterman countered by stating, "I maintain that we have the strongest and most lethal military in the world."

The Senator’s defense of the mission highlights a growing divide within the Democratic Party. While leadership complains about procedure, Fetterman argues that "America is a force of good, order and democracy."
