The exhibition boxing match featuring Floyd Mayweather Jr. and John Gotti III descended into pandemonium on Sunday night when it was halted during the sixth round.
Throughout the majority of the fight, Mayweather and Gotti were locked in a war of words, which increasingly challenged referee Kenny Bayless' ability to control the situation and keep the boxers focused on the match. The situation spiraled out of control following the interruption of the fight by Bayless, marking the beginning of an unsightly episode.
Gotti began maneuvering around Bayless, angling towards Mayweather. This led to a heated exchange of blows between the two fighters, even as their respective teams surged into the ring, escalating the chaos with further pushing and jostling. Gotti was eventually forced back into his corner, as was Mayweather.
The spectacle unfolded at FLA Live in Sunrise, Florida.

Mayweather has not participated in a professional bout since his victory over Conor McGregor in 2017. His remarkable career is marked by an unbeaten record of 50 wins, with 27 coming by way of knockout. Since retiring from professional boxing, Mayweather has engaged in high-paying exhibition matches against a range of opponents, including Logan Paul and Gotti. His most recent bout with Gotti ended in a disqualification.
As for Gotti, the match with Mayweather marked his third foray into professional boxing, where he has an undefeated 2-0 record. Additionally, he boasts a commendable 5-1 record in Mixed Martial Arts.
Gotti took to his Instagram story to give his account of the event, calling Mayweather a "punk b----" and an "enemy for life."
