Disgruntled Cowboys Fan Goes Over the Line, Releases Personal Info of Player

Two players from the Dallas Cowboys had a really tough day when their private info was shared by unhappy fans.

After their team lost a big game, someone put one player's house address and the other's phone number out for everyone to see, making their bad day even worse.

The trouble started when Kearse questioned on social media why he received a penalty during a play. Fans quickly reacted, criticizing his performance in the game. When Thomas tried to defend his teammates, the fans escalated the situation.

Thomas expressed that the fans "crossed a line."

"I can take criticism," Thomas said to the Dallas Morning News. "But you do cross a line when you start doing dumb stuff like that, for real. It's a line you can't cross when you start sharing people's addresses and numbers and stuff. At the end of the day, this is still a game. People got a life."

"People [were] texting me, calling me. I’m like d*mn, bro," he continued. "I don’t even know how people can leak your number."

Fortunately for the Cowboys, they secured a spot in the playoffs just before their game on Sunday. However, the rest of the day didn't go well for them. They fell behind the NFC-leading San Francisco 49ers in the standings and their record dropped to 10-4.

This season, the Cowboys have had impressive performances, scoring 40 or more points in five games and winning eight times by a margin of 20 or more. But in this game, they were limited to just 195 yards of offense, their lowest of the season. Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 21 of 34 passes for 134 yards and threw an interception.

Quarterback Josh Allen of the Bills had a modest passing game with only 94 yards, but their running back James Cook excelled, rushing for a career-high 179 yards and scoring two touchdowns.
