A former makeup artist for Garth Brooks has accused the country music star of sexual assault and battery. The lawsuit was filed on Thursday.
Brooks, 62, allegedly raped the woman, known as "Jane Roe," in 2019 during a work trip. Court documents obtained by Fox News Digital outline the accusations.
The woman had been hired in 1999 to style Brooks' wife, Trisha Yearwood. She started working directly with Brooks in 2017, just a few years before the alleged incident.
Brooks reportedly filed his own lawsuit to block the makeup artist's case. CNN reported the document was filed under "John Doe."
In the filing, Brooks denied the woman's claims entirely. The court battle is now unfolding.
Representatives for Brooks and Yearwood did not respond to requests for comment. Fox News Digital has reached out but received no reply.
The allegations are serious and have drawn public attention as the case progresses.
