Bruce Springsteen is calling off the rest of his 2023 tour shows due to peptic ulcer disease.
His Instagram post stated, "Bruce Springsteen has continued to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor's advice."
The message went on to say, "With this in mind, and out of an abundance of caution, all remaining 2023 tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be postponed until 2024."
Closing the statement, Springsteen expressed, "Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I'm on the mend and can't wait to see you all next year."

The updated announcement assures fans that new dates will be shared next week. Tickets from the postponed shows will remain valid, and those who can't make it have the option for refunds.
The artist behind "Born to Run" commenced his tour on Feb. 1 of this year, marking his first major series of performances in six years. This tour, however, encountered multiple challenges because of health issues.
Beginning in Tampa, Florida, the tour had to defer several shows just a month later in March.
By April, both Springsteen and his wife contracted COVID. Fortunately, this occurred during a hiatus between the initial U.S. concerts and his European tour dates, preventing any need for rescheduling.
Then, in August, Springsteen unexpectedly called off two shows due to an illness which wasn't revealed at the time, merely hours before he was scheduled to perform.
