Ohio Sen. JD Vance’s "Hillbilly Elegy" is back at No. 1. Sources say it shows voters are curious about Trump's running mate.
The memoir, first published in June 2016, reclaimed top spots on major bestseller lists. It’s No. 1 on The New York Times, Publisher’s Weekly, and USA Today.
The 2020 film adaptation is also gaining traction. It’s now No. 9 on Netflix’s top 10 movies. Viewers have watched nearly six million hours, a source told Fox News Digital.
Vance’s success follows criticism over a 2021 comment about women without children. A Trump campaign source says Americans want to know Vance without media bias.
"The mainstream media insists JD Vance had a bad week," said the source. "But millions are buying his memoir or watching the movie."

An old interview resurfaced where Vance said, "We are run by childless cat ladies." He named Kamala Harris and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as examples.
Democrats, including Hillary Clinton and Jennifer Aniston, blasted Vance this week. They accuse him of devaluing women without children.
Vance claims Democrats twisted his words. "They take comments out of context because they have no agenda," he said.
A Vance spokesperson said his comments were about anti-family policies. "He won’t back down on protecting parental rights," said Taylor Van Kirk.
Trump campaign adviser Chris LaCivita defended Vance. "We fight for working women and the middle class," he told Fox News. "Critics are scared of JD Vance, and we’ll deal with their fiction as we move forward."
