WATCH: NFL Player Pleads for Refs to Stop Play as Dazed Teammate Struggles After Catch

New England Patriots wide receiver Nelson Agholor helped a dazed teammate who was clearly injured during the Patriots' Monday night win over the Arizona Cardinals.

The play happened in the first quarter of the game. DeVante Parker caught a pass from Mac Jones and went to the ground face-first. He struggled to get up and appeared to be dazed.

Agholor attempted to stop the play by taking a knee and motioning to the sideline. Despite this, the next play continued. After that play was stopped and Parker was able to be removed from the game. Agholor was clearly upset by the turn of events.

Michael Hurley of WBZ in Boston pointed out that this was a failure by the NFL concussion spotter.

Parker left the game with a head injury.

Despite what many are considering a massive error by the concussion spotter, this signifies a massive shift in the NFL. Players are shifting from staying on the field at any cost to being very aware of the dangers of the game.

Even five years ago it would be extremely unlikely to see an NFL player helping a dazed teammate off the field.
