President-elect Donald Trump took the stage Thursday night at Fox Nation's sixth annual Patriot Awards. He accepted the "Patriot of the Year" award with a confident tone.
"We're going to get things straightened out in this country," Trump said, holding the honorary award firmly.
This year has been a whirlwind for Trump. Legal battles stacked high. Two assassination attempts shook the headlines. And yet, his historic campaign led him to defeat Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race.
"We had just a spectacular election. They were thinking it was going to be close, and it wasn't close," he stated, drawing applause from the audience.
In his remarks, Trump highlighted key promises. Immigration reform, economic revival, and national security topped his list. His tone was decisive.
"We're going to achieve it again and very fast. It's going to be very fast because we have no choice. But we're going to do something that I've been talking about for eight years. We're going to do it again. We have to do it again. We're going to make America great again."
The night honored other heroes too. UNC fraternity brothers received recognition for defending the American flag against a mob. Their message? Deep pride in the red, white, and blue.
Awards like the "T2T Stephen Siller Back the Blue Award" and "Young Patriot" were among the nine categories celebrated. Courage and service took center stage.
