The Fourth of July party thrown by Fanatics earlier this month stirred up intense speculations surrounding retired NFL superstar Tom Brady and SKIMS creator Kim Kardashian.
Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, who held the party at his lavish Hamptons retreat, quelled these rumors during his attendance at the Shawn Carter Foundation's 20th anniversary black-tie gala in New York City on Friday.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Rubin assured that the relationship between the two was simply platonic.
"It's just the crazy rumors that get out there," he said.
"Tom was with me a ton of the night and we were having fun, and Tom just doesn't go out that much. It's a rare sighting. And Kim doesn't drink much," Rubin continued.
"So I think Kim's 10 or 12 shots she had, [and] Tom, you know, being fun, it just leads to rumors. We always want to laugh about it."
Brady and Kardashian attended the yearly Fourth of July party, which was also graced by various other renowned figures such as Philadelphia 76ers player James Harden and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.

Though speculations about a possible romantic link between the two appeared to fizzle out following a source close to Kardashian assuring People magazine in May that they "have friends and business partners in common but are not dating," a recent article from the Daily Mail this week stoked the rumor mill once again.
A source told Daily Mail that Brady and Kardashian "were super flirty with each other at Rubin's party and were seen during the day on the beach together and again dancing at night."
Nonetheless, informants relayed to Page Six that Brady and Kardashian "merely had a short conversation," contradicting previous reports of them dancing or flirting. It was further noted by Page Six that Brady was seen engaging with various women.
