'Tim Walz Should Resign': Vice President JD Vance Blasts Minnesota Failure

Vice President JD Vance warned Wednesday that the massive fraud scandal in Minnesota is just the tip of the iceberg. Appearing on "Jesse Watters Primetime," Vance claimed the Trump administration has uncovered a "nationwide fraud ring" involving illegal aliens.

The Vice President vowed that federal authorities are moving to prosecute everyone involved. "Anybody who is involved is going to get prosecuted," Vance told host Jesse Watters during the interview.

The comments follow the administration’s decision to freeze over $10 billion in funding to five blue states. Officials cite concerns that taxpayer dollars are being funneled to noncitizens in states like California and New York.

Vance also called for the immediate resignation of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Walz announced Monday he would not seek reelection as the $9 billion scandal continues to grow.

"I think Tim Walz should resign," Vance asserted. "He should’ve seen this." He labeled the theft of billions intended for children and families a "massive failure of government."

The Vice President explained that the problem goes beyond simple welfare abuse. He claimed criminals have built "whole businesses" around siphoning money from American taxpayers and sending it overseas.

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer echoed these concerns during a heated hearing on Wednesday. Comer accused Walz of being "asleep at the wheel" or "complicit" in the rampant theft.

Republican State Representative Kristin Robbins testified at the hearing that the administration "willfully turned a blind eye" to the crimes. She noted that whistleblowers were often silenced by state agencies.

Governor Walz has pushed back against the calls to resign, stating he will finish his term. He recently called the federal crackdown on his state "buffoonery" and "petty" political theater.
