Actor Danny Masterson has been convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting two women, while the jury was unable to reach a verdict on a third rape charge against him. The 47-year-old actor, who is associated with Scientology, appeared shocked as the jury unanimously delivered their verdicts on two out of the three charges.
This outcome comes after a previous trial where a different jury failed to reach a verdict on the same charges.

Throughout the four-week trial held in downtown Los Angeles, Masterson's wife, actress Bijou Phillips, stood by his side. However, upon hearing the jury's verdicts, Phillips broke down in tears, prompting Judge Charlaine Olmedo to request that she compose herself or step outside the courtroom.
Following the judge's decision, Danny Masterson, who had been out on $3.3 million bail since his arrest three years ago, was ordered to be taken into custody. A hearing has been scheduled for August 4, during which his attorneys will present arguments for reinstating bail. As soon as Judge Olmedo declared that the actor would be remanded, a sheriff's bailiff handcuffed him, securing his arms behind his back.
In a surprising turn of events, a group of approximately 10 friends and family members associated with Scientology, including actor Billy Baldwin (who is married to Chynna Phillips, Bijou's half-sister), witnessed the scene in shock as Masterson was led away to the detention area.
Throughout both criminal trials, Scientology played a prominent role. All three women who testified expressed their hesitance in reporting Masterson to the authorities due to their fear of retaliation from the Church of Scientology.
