After noticing a man hovering around the girl, the worker wrote a secret note on her cup, asking if she needed help.
Her mother, Brandy Roberson, shared the story on Facebook and told WKYC, "She was sitting at her table alone studying, and this man came by and noticed what she was studying and wanted to talk to her about it. He, I think, just kind of became really animated and kind of loud about it."
That is when the worker walked over and handed her a hot chocolate, stating that someone had left it behind by mistake and that she could have it for free.
On the side of the cup, the worker had written, "Are you okay? Do you want us to intervene? If you do, take the lid off the cup."
The harasser then realized that the entire staff was watching him, and her, and backed off.
The teen didn't even need to take the lid off at that point, and later told the workers that she appreciated them having her back.
"How grateful I am for people who look out for other people!" Roberson added to her post.
