Social Media Erupts at Bernie Sanders for 'Pure Evil' Song at Anti-Trump Rally

Bernie Sanders' anti-Trump, anti-oligarch tour is under fire. A transgender singer performed a song critics called "pure evil." The lyrics mocked God, Jesus, and Easter.

Conservative activist Robby Starbuck blasted the performance. "The song specifically attacks Christianity with mentions of Easter and God’s son," he posted on X.

Sanders is traveling across key battleground states. His "Fighting Oligarchy" tour includes stops in Wisconsin and Michigan. The goal? Rally support in competitive areas.

On Friday, Sanders visited Kenosha, Wisconsin. He welcomed transgender singer Laura Jane Grace to the stage. She performed a controversial, anti-Christian song before Sanders thanked her.

The song, "Your God (God’s D---)," includes explicit lyrics. It mocks Easter, Christianity, and Jesus. Clips of the performance spread fast across social media. Grace even shared it on Instagram.

Conservatives were outraged. Many slammed Sanders for supporting the singer. "Wow. AFTER the anti-Christian ‘performance’ at his event, @BernieSanders thanked the trans singer that performed this hateful, evil song," Starbuck wrote on X.

"If he attempts to apologize, just know his first instinct was to thank the singer after he sang it," Starbuck added. "This is who the Democrats are now. Pure evil."

Grace first gained fame in the early 2000s. She was the lead singer of the punk rock band Against Me!. In 2012, she came out as transgender in an interview with Rolling Stone.

Fox News Digital reached out for comment. Neither Sanders’ office nor Grace’s team responded immediately.

Sanders recently attacked Trump’s leadership. In his response to Trump’s address to Congress on March 4, he called the U.S. an "oligarchic society."

"The Trump administration is not hiding it," Sanders said in his speech. "This is a government of the billionaire class by the billionaire class, and for the billionaire class."

He accused Trump of ignoring working families. "My friends, we are no longer moving toward oligarchy. We are living in an oligarchic society," Sanders declared.
