In America, we are still free. Whether or not we continue to be free is the question.
How would you feel if a "social credit" system became the normal in the United States? You are rated on your actions, whether "good" or "bad," for society. You are judged by things like who you are friends with, what you buy, and whether or not you wear a mask in public.
Your score goes up or down based on your "rating." If you have a low score, congratulations, you can no longer find housing, employment, travel, or allowed into stores.
China already has a similar system. Is that what we want here? The infrastructure is already in place. For example, security cameras in nearly every public forum, cell phones that track where we go and what we buy, social media, and rating on apps like AirBNB and Uber. If you have a bad rating, you can be denied rental and rider privileges.
How would you feel if you could not rent a home or buy food because you don't conform to the herd? If you aren't okay with it, then now is the time to fight back.
As former President Ronald Reagan once said, "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free."
