During Tuesday’s airing of MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show,” Democrat Senator Amy Kobluchar slammed President Donald Trump for criticizing the coronavirus relief bill, stating that “he should not be doing this right now.” She added that they apparently have the votes needed to override a veto of the bill.

She said, “It is the second biggest stimulus in the history of America, and for him to turn this down — obviously, we have the votes to override his veto in the houses. We have those votes. But he should not be doing this right now, when his own Treasury Secretary, Steve Mnuchin, was involved in the negotiations from beginning to end.”
President Trump criticized the bill presented to him by Congress, which proposed a $600 stimulus payment for Americans, and declared that the checks needed to be $2000 per person rather than $600.
