Russia has added Meta, formerly known as Facebook, to its list of terrorist and extremist organizations.
Russia's Federal Financial Monitoring Service Rosfinmonitoring announced the addition of Facebook to their terrorist list Tuesday, according to a report from the Russian government news network Sputnik.

In March Russia designated Meta as an extremist organization when they permitted Ukrainian to call for violence against Russian "invaders" on their social media platform.
Facebook has yet to respond to being named a terrorist and extremist organization by Russia, which differs from the relationship the company has with the United States government.
During an interview with Joe Rogan in August, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the FBI warned him about a “dump” of “Russian propaganda” just before the Hunter Biden story broke.
