On Thursday, Michigan gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley was arrested by the FBI for his alleged involvement in the January 6 Capitol riots.
He has been charged with a misdemeanor for being present when a group of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building following the Presidential election in 2021.
According to documents obtained by the FBI, Kelley can be seen rallying the crowd inside the Capitol building. However, the court claims that he did not enter the building.
The video footage shows Kelley, in a backwards baseball cap, outside the building on the steps as the crowd pushes their way through the Barries to enter the Capitol building.
The FBI claims that he was caught on camera “assaulting and pushing past law enforcement officers” before climbing an “architectural feature” at the top of the stairs.
The Michigan Tea blog posted the alleged clip of Kelley shouting “Come on, let’s go! This is it! This is war baby!” last year. However, it has not been verified to actually be him.

Trending Politics reports:
He was arrested on 4 charges including knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building, disorderly and disruptive conduct, knowingly engaging in any act of physical violence against person or property in a restricted building or grounds and wilfully injuring or committing depredation against property of the US.
In an official statement, the Attorney’s office for DC urged the press and public to remember we’re all innocent until proven guilty:
“A complaint is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law,” said the release.
“Because this is a pending case, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia has no further comment at this time.”
His arrest will likely take him out of the gubernatorial race, which he was favorited to win according to polls undertaken last month by Michigan Information and Research Service.
How convenient.
