Disney Channel debuted its first transgender character known as "Nikki" on Raven’s Home — which is a spinoff of That’s So Raven. “Nikki" is played by transgender actor Juliana Joel, who called the introduction a “win” for transgenders.
I fail to see how introducing people with mental illnesses on a show targeted at pre-teens and teens is a "win."
Nikki appeared in last week's episode, in the show's 5th season, and is a social media influencer hired by Raven to promote her new design studio.
