Protesters tried to storm into Lafeyette Park in Washington DC and take down the Andrew Jackson statue before being greeted and stopped by police.
The statue features Jackson riding into battle on a horse at the Battle of New Orleans in 1815, which was a big battle in the War of 1812.
On Monday, protesters broke through a fence and got to the statue and put rope around it and tried to take it down.

U.S. Park Police came in and dispersed pepper spray into the crowd of rioters, some of which were armed.
