President Donald Trump mocked former First Lady Jill Biden on social media Friday. The criticism came after she revealed she believed her husband was having a medical emergency during his disastrous debate performance in 2024.
Trump took to Truth Social to slam the former first lady for her delayed reaction. "She said that she thought he was having a stroke, and various other really bad things, and yet never rushed onto the stage to help her troubled husband, as any good wife would do," the president wrote.
"The only thing she failed to mention was how well I was doing prior to his near total collapse," Trump added. He then questioned whether his strong debate performance caused the former president to freeze.
"In other words, as many have asked, did my strong performance in that debate cause him to plain and simple choke, leading to his ignominious defeat, or were other reasons the cause?" Trump asked. "Nobody else knows the answer to that, BUT I DO!!!"
In a newly released clip from a CBS News interview, Jill Biden admitted she was horrified watching her husband on stage in Atlanta. She claimed the shocking episode terrified her as the nation watched.
"I was frightened, because I had never ever seen Joe like that before or since, never," she told CBS News. "I mean, as I watched it, I thought, oh my god, he’s having a stroke."
The former president's famously poor debate performance sparked widespread concern about his advanced age and declining health. The disastrous showing on national television ultimately forced him to drop his reelection bid.
Trump has repeatedly revisited the debate performance and other high-profile gaffes. He has consistently accused the inner circle and the mainstream media of actively concealing the president's declining condition.

Several Democrats and prominent journalists have since come forward to reveal their own concerns about his health. These mounting concerns led to the massive push by Democrats to quickly remove him from the ballot and install Vice President Kamala Harris.
The Bidens have consistently denied accusations of covering up the former president’s true mental acuity during his time in the White House. Jill Biden is currently doing media interviews to promote her new memoir titled View from the East Wing.
