"Our Party Is Governed By TDS": Fetterman Slams Democratic Leadership

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman delivered a candid assessment of the current state of the Democratic Party during a recent appearance on the All-In Podcast. When asked who currently leads the party, Fetterman replied that we don't have one. He argued that instead of a person, the party is governed by TDS, or Trump Derangement Syndrome.

The senator suggested that this obsession with opposing the President has reached a level of absurdity. "I would say it's TDS," Fetterman remarked during the discussion. He joked that if the President came out in support of ice cream and lazy Sundays, Democrats would suddenly find a reason to hate it and vote it down.

Fetterman also used the platform to distinguish himself from his colleagues on matters of national security. He highlighted his firm support for Operation Epic Fury and the dismantling of the Iranian regime. "I think it's a great thing to break and destroy the Iranian regime," Fetterman told the hosts. He noted that he seems to be the only Democrat in Congress willing to hold Tehran accountable in this manner.

The Pennsylvania lawmaker has remained a steadfast supporter of Israel and the U.S. military’s recent objectives. He recently declared on social media that picking country over party is never wrong. Fetterman expressed deep pride in what the military has accomplished during the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. This common sense approach has often placed him at odds with the more radical elements of the Progressive Caucus.

While the Democratic establishment remains fixated on internal power struggles, Fetterman’s comments point to a deeper identity crisis. He argued that the knee-jerk opposition to the President’s agenda prevents the party from focusing on substantive issues. For voters in Pennsylvania, this brand of independent thinking is a stark contrast to the partisan gridlock in Washington.

As the 2026 midterms approach, Fetterman’s willingness to call out his own party may signal a shift in the political landscape. The senator appears focused on results and national sovereignty rather than the tabloid garbage of partisan bickering. For those following the American Manufacturing Renaissance, his support for domestic stability remains a key factor in the state's political future.
