NBC Nightly News released a segment analyzing the highly-criticized decision by Georgia to reopen for business. This report came about a month after the decision was made by Georgia.
In April Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp decided to reopen businesses including gyms and salons. Even President Trump disagreed with the decision and of course most Democrats predicted doom and gloom.
Anchor Jose Diaz-Balart and reporter Blayne Alexander presented a segment on the new coronavirus cases before and after the reopening as well as an interview with a local barber.
“When Georgia became one of the first states to reopen back in April many said it was too much too soon, predicting a new surge in coronavirus cases,” said Diaz-Balart while opening the segment. “Now, exactly four weeks later, Blayne Alexander reports on whether Georgia’s gamble paid off.”
The numbers get complicated, but you can tell the barber who was interviewed is glad to be reopened. We can reopen and still be safe and acknowledge all precautionary steps.
