Former NFL star and Hall-of-Famer Brian Urlacher visited the U.S.-Mexico border just weeks after President Biden said "there are more important things going on," according to a report from Daily Caller.
Brian Urlacher, a former Chicago Bear, accompanied by Nick Lowery and Randy Grimes, visited Border Patrol agents in Yuma, Arizona, to express appreciation for their work amid high levels of illegal immigration. In contrast, President Joe Biden has not yet visited the U.S.-Mexico border and stated on December 6 that he had "more important things" to do than travel there.

According to the White House, Biden's last visit to the border was in 2008, when he "drove through" El Paso, Texas.
Brian Urlacher had previously visited the border alone, but it is not reported that Nick Lowery or Randy Grimes accompanied him on this trip, according to Urlacher's Instagram. In the 2022 fiscal year, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) encountered a record number of more than 2.3 million migrants at the border.
Border Patrol agents are struggling with high levels of workload and low morale, according to multiple officials who have recently spoken with the DCNF. One agent in Arizona, who was not authorized to speak, told the DCNF that President Biden's absence on the border has only exacerbated the situation.
