Time and time again Mitt Romney establishes himself as the leading anti-Trump RINO. Now Mitt Romney rips President Trump for commuting the sentence of Roger Stone.
Friday night the Utah Senator took to Twitter to rip into Donald Trump for commuting the sentence of his long-time friend Roger Stone.
Unprecedented, historic corruption: an American president commutes the sentence of a person convicted by a jury of lying to shield that very president.

Roger Stone was convicted in June of seven charges that he obstructed justice and lied under oath during Congressional investigations into Russian interference. Just hours before the sentence was commuted, Romney said in an interview he felt he deserved a break for the way he protected the president against investigators.
Just had a long talk with #RogerStone. He says he doesn’t want a pardon (which implies guilt) but a commutation, and says he thinks #Trump will give it to him. “He knows I was under enormous pressure to turn on him. It would have eased my situation considerably. But I didn’t.”

Remember, Romney was the only senator who voted in favor of President Trump's impeachment. He remains the sole Republican who regularly criticizes President Trump.
