A local Louisville reporter was shot with pepper balls during a live broadcast while covering protests against police brutality.
Kaitlin Rust, a reporter from WAVE 3 News, who is an affiliate of CBS, is shown walking around the area before screaming "I'm getting shot!"
A shocked Rust continues reporting.
"It's okay it's those pepper bullets."
She is then asked by an anchor back in the studio who they are aiming at.
"At us. Directly at us," Rust responded.

Seven people were shot and two were hospitalized at protests the previous night in Louisville, according to a report from WAVE News.
Though it was initially reported that rubber bullets were being used by the police, the Louisville Metro Police Department told WAVE 3 that rubber bullets are not used by their officers.
