Actor Kelsey Grammer officially threw his support behind reality television star Spencer Pratt for Los Angeles mayor on Friday. The iconic actor also aired a pointed nickname for incumbent Mayor Karen Bass just days before the June 2 primary election.

The former "Cheers" and "Frasier" star delivered the sharp line while leaving a campaign event in Westlake Village. Grammer told the New York Post exactly what he thinks of the progressive politician. "I just call her Karen Bass-ackwards. That’s what we’ve always called her in my house," Grammer said.

He praised Pratt as the only serious choice remaining in the crowded mayoral race. "He’s the only guy that’s a real option. We know what the rest is going to do," Grammer added.

The major Hollywood endorsement lands as Pratt continues to poll well heading into Tuesday’s nonpartisan primary. Pratt is currently polling at 22 percent, trailing Bass at 26 percent and Los Angeles City Councilmember Nithya Raman at 25 percent.

Pratt originally entered the political race after losing his Pacific Palisades home in last January’s devastating wildfires. The political outsider has built his campaign platform around tackling homelessness, rising crime, fire preparedness, and massive business costs.

Pratt believes everyday residents have been abandoned by current city officials. "I only got into the race because nobody else was going to run. I had to step up for my community and for Los Angeles," Pratt told CNBC.

When asked about California Governor Gavin Newsom, Grammer made his conservative feelings crystal clear. "I just hope we’ve heard the last of him," Grammer told the New York Post.

The actor recently hosted Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent at an Italian restaurant near the Ventura County border. The cabinet member used the high-profile event to promote the administration’s new Trump Accounts program.

The federal initiative deposits $1,000 in seed money into stock-market-linked investment accounts for children born during Trump’s second term. Grammer proudly told KCLU that he has already enrolled his 8-month-old son in the program.

Bessent strongly criticized California’s liberal leadership during his remarks to the local crowd. "California is a great state – it’s just horribly run," Bessent told the Westlake Village attendees.

Grammer praised Bessent as a rockstar following the powerful speech. The actor also told attendees, "stupid lives in California" when referring to the state's current political climate.
