Kanye West showed up to the 2020 presidential election a day late and a dollar short. If he'd been in from the beginning, and wasn't running against President Donald Trump, then I think he would have stood a chance. However, the cookie did not crumble in his favor this go around.
Now West is appearing to look to 2024 for another run, in hopes of being president of the United States.
West, who ran as an independent, received at least 60,000 votes in the 2020 election, according to Deadline. Which isn't bad considering he did not do any campaigning.

West’s largest number of supporters were in Tennessee, where he nabbed 10,188 votes. Variety reported the early returns from the states in which he was eligible saw him fail to reach even 0.5 per cent of the vote.
West, who previously voiced his support for Donald Trump, was thought to have spent millions of his own money on his presidential campaign. He failed to get on the ballots of all 50 states, though.
