Oh my. Former Vice President Joe Biden doesn't know whether he is coming or going!
During the second presidential debate on Thursday evening, the Democratic presidential nominee attempted to slam the Proud Boys and link the controversial organization to President Donald Trump. However, he mistakenly called them the "Poor Boys," instead.
“He said about the Poor Boys [sic] last time we were on stage here he said, ‘I tell them to stand down and stand ready,'” Biden stuttered, referring to the first presidential debate. “C’mon! This guy has a dog whistle as big as a foghorn.”
Biden demanded Trump denounce the "Proud Boys" as "white supremacists" during the first debate. He apparently didn't realize that the right-wing group is made up of all races, including Hispanics and African-Americans.
Partial transcript from first debate:
Trump: Go ahead. Who would you like me to condemn?
Biden: White supremacists. The Proud Boys.
Trump: Who.
Wallace: White supremacists and right-wing militia.
Trump: Proud Boys, stand back and stand by. But I’ll tell you what, I’ll tell you what. Somebody’s got to do something about Antifa and the left. Because this is not a right-wing problem.
Biden and the left continuously attack Trump for failing to denounce white supremacy and the Proud Boys.....However, that just goes to show you that they either don't pay attention or don't accept the fact that Trump has denounced both on numerous occasions.
“I don’t know who the Proud Boys are, I mean you have to give me a definition,” Trump said in September about the Proud Boys. “Because I really don’t know who they are. I can only say they have to stand down, let law enforcement do their work.”
In October, Trump also condemned the group during an interview with Hannity. “I don’t know much about the Proud Boys, almost nothing, but I condemn that,” he said.
